Even though our old days was really ancientA
It was still modern to usB
Even though we had no health centerC
We took our herbs as our healing centerC
Even though we had no electricity thenD
Our lamps showed us a way out of every denD
-
The ways of our people have we neglectedE
Were eating with our neighbors has been our day to day lifeF
Even Our activities are known in every townG
Oh Were all cultures come together to display their traditionsH
And natural beauty of the female blacks are valuedI
-
Were justice is knownJ
and equity is treatedE
Corruption was never acceptedK
Tilling of the ground was our only means of survivalL
And respect was our first priorityM
Men were given opportunity to display their strengthN
And folktales were told to the young onesH
-
Oh Our native language was our priorityM
And our native names was our only nameO
Why Oh Why have we accept the the ways of the far country peoplesP
Which has cause our natural beauty to fade awayQ
Living us addicted to man's created thingsR
-
The strange ways has kept us in bondageS
And cause unexpected deathsT
Oh Technology has taken our attention away from our traditionU
And trying to be like the strangersV
Has make us to loss our mother's tongueW
Even make us loss our real nameO
-
Oh Our traditional dress code has been forgotten by this reasonU
Trying to be like them has cause us to forget many traditional thingsR
Even our pride which is our mother's tongueW
