The Enkindled Spring Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABAB CDCD EFGF

This spring as it comes bursts up in bonfires greenA
Wild puffing of emerald trees and flame filled bushesB
Thorn blossom lifting in wreaths of smoke betweenA
Where the wood fumes up and the watery flickering rushesB
-
I am amazed at this spring this conflagrationC
Of green fires lit on the soil of the earth this blazeD
Of growing and sparks that puff in wild gyrationC
Faces of people streaming across my gazeD
-
And I what fountain of fire am I amongE
This leaping combustion of spring My spirit is tossedF
About like a shadow buffeted in the throngG
Of flames a shadow that s gone astray and is lostF
