Gloire De Dijon Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCBDCEFCG DHIJKCEG

When she rises in the morningA
I linger to watch herB
She spreads the bath cloth underneath the windowC
And the sunbeams catch herB
Glistening white on the shouldersD
While down her sides the mellowC
Golden shadow glows asE
She stoops to the sponge and her swung breastsF
Sway like full blown yellowC
Gloire de Dijon rosesG
-
She drips herself with water and her shouldersD
Glisten as silver they crumple upH
Like wet and falling roses and I listenI
For the sluicing of their rain dishevelled petalsJ
In the window full of sunlightK
Concentrates her golden shadowC
Fold on fold until it glows asE
Mellow as the glory rosesG
