Dissolute Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABAB CDED

Many years have I still to burn detainedA
Like a candle flame on this body but I enshineB
A darkness within me a presence which sleeps containedA
In my flame of living her soul enfolded in mineB
-
And through these years while I burn on the fuel of lifeC
What matter the stuff I lick up in my living flameD
Seeing I keep in the fire core inviolateE
A night where she dreams my dreams for me ever the sameD
