Butterfly the wind blows sea wardA
strong beyond the garden wallB

Already it is October and the windF
blows strong to the seaG
from the hills where snow must haveH
fallen the wind is polished withI

Here in the garden with redK
geraniums it is warm it is warmL
but the wind blows strong to sea wardA
white butterfly content on my shoeD

Will you climb on your big soft wingsN

as up an invisible rainbow an archP
till the wind slides you sheer from theQ

and in a strange level fluttering you goJ
