Our family was stricken not just with problem or strife | A |
We lost our loving father a dear husband and caring grandfather | B |
He was our friend our fan and our greatest supporter | B |

He would never admit he needed help from me or you | C |
A man so full of stories about his life s triumphs and despair | D |
But his tales of joy when he found Jesus are beyond compare | D |

He was a very good neighbor and friend to many | E |
Even to somebody he just met very shortly | E |
A man who s so trusting not just to his friends and family | E |
He never doubted or thought ill of others that easily | E |

With his good looks was a big loving heart ever | B |
Thus with Lola Juling there was forever | B |
If he ever was sick or needed a doctor I could not recall | F |
His secret he jogged every morning no cigarettes no alcohol | G |

When I was very young I thought he was a genius | H |
His answers to all my questions and problems were of great use | I |
Talented he could sing dance and even played the organ | J |
An artist engraver painter preacher you ll admire the works he d done | J |

As for me I consider my Lolo Mele my wonderful hero | K |
I cannot imagine what it was like without him my whole life through | C |
I had no father so he took the role and became the best one for me | E |
He was my guard my counselor my guide to how a good Christian should be | E |

Lolo Mele was a peaceful man who did not want any trouble | L |
He would always forgive even for us forgiving was impossible | L |
Be it about money hurting words or deed to him you d show | K |
He would never hurt you back not a curse from him will flow | K |

Tatay had his many mistakes and we know of his imperfection | J |
But leading us all to Jesus was his greatest completed mission | J |
Even days before his death when asked what else he wanted to do | C |
He replied I must make and distribute tracts let's pray it will be so | K |

Preaching God's Word was all he wanted to do | C |
He'd share God s way of salvation hundreds of times or so | K |
Whenever he saw a person he saw a soul marching to hell | M |
So nothing could stop him about God s love he would tell | M |

This world is not my home I'm just a passing through | C |
My treasures are laid up somewhere beyond the blue | C |
Our Tatay Mele used to sing and he believed in this song | N |
Yes he lived his life storing treasures in heaven where he does belong | N |

A Sinner Saved by Grace is etched on his grave | O |
He said There s assurance of heaven never fear death be brave | O |
Heavenly Father thank You because you are a good God he prayed | P |
He knew he was facing death but he kept his faith and never dismayed | P |

Until this day we still cry our hearts out are in pain a heavy feeling | Q |
You are no longer with us it's really sad and tears just keep falling | Q |
But heaven is a billion times better no more nights no more pain | R |
Surely you're happily talking with Jesus face to face there in heaven | J |
