It was the saddest and lowest time of our lifeA
Our family was stricken not just with problem or strifeA
We lost our loving father a dear husband and caring grandfatherB
He was our friend our fan and our greatest supporterB
-
He was a very proud man yet very humble tooC
He would never admit he needed help from me or youC
A man so full of stories about his life s triumphs and despairD
But his tales of joy when he found Jesus are beyond compareD
-
He was a very good neighbor and friend to manyE
Even to somebody he just met very shortlyE
A man who s so trusting not just to his friends and familyE
He never doubted or thought ill of others that easilyE
-
With his good looks was a big loving heart everB
Thus with Lola Juling there was foreverB
If he ever was sick or needed a doctor I could not recallF
His secret he jogged every morning no cigarettes no alcoholG
-
When I was very young I thought he was a geniusH
His answers to all my questions and problems were of great useI
Talented he could sing dance and even played the organJ
An artist engraver painter preacher you ll admire the works he d doneJ
-
As for me I consider my Lolo Mele my wonderful heroK
I cannot imagine what it was like without him my whole life throughC
I had no father so he took the role and became the best one for meE
He was my guard my counselor my guide to how a good Christian should beE
-
Lolo Mele was a peaceful man who did not want any troubleL
He would always forgive even for us forgiving was impossibleL
Be it about money hurting words or deed to him you d showK
He would never hurt you back not a curse from him will flowK
-
Tatay had his many mistakes and we know of his imperfectionJ
But leading us all to Jesus was his greatest completed missionJ
Even days before his death when asked what else he wanted to doC
He replied I must make and distribute tracts let's pray it will be soK
-
Preaching God's Word was all he wanted to doC
He'd share God s way of salvation hundreds of times or soK
Whenever he saw a person he saw a soul marching to hellM
So nothing could stop him about God s love he would tellM
-
This world is not my home I'm just a passing throughC
My treasures are laid up somewhere beyond the blueC
Our Tatay Mele used to sing and he believed in this songN
Yes he lived his life storing treasures in heaven where he does belongN
-
A Sinner Saved by Grace is etched on his graveO
He said There s assurance of heaven never fear death be braveO
Heavenly Father thank You because you are a good God he prayedP
He knew he was facing death but he kept his faith and never dismayedP
-
Until this day we still cry our hearts out are in pain a heavy feelingQ
You are no longer with us it's really sad and tears just keep fallingQ
But heaven is a billion times better no more nights no more painR
Surely you're happily talking with Jesus face to face there in heavenJ
-
We miss you Lolo MeleS
