The Harmattan Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AB CDE FGHB IJ G BKI LM

He s not a globetrotterA
But he loves to travel to the West African Countries from the Sahara desert during mid November till late FebruaryB
-
I think he likes our culture and traditionsC
Or is it the glittering black chocolate skin of its peopleD
Maybe he only likes the aroma of the Jollof rice cooked to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ and New Year celebrationE
-
Many people likes himF
Even me tooG
But my mum never didH
I know he could be annoying and maddening sometimes because whenever he visits us he death blows almost all the leafs and fruit on our mango treeB
-
He sometimes incapacitate people by brushing their wet glittering lips into a dried pale like with a splash of exasperated sour bloodI
He s like an abstract noun which you Cannot see or touch but feelJ
-
I wish I could see him and say how much I like him and not wanting him to ever leave the West even if his visa had dueG
-
I want to tell him that he leaves a remarkable memories for meB
I want to tell him I accost his presence and let him know the kind of feelings I feel whenever he visitsK
But even though I could my mum will blurt out bullets knives and threats on him without stuttering she could even get him arrestedI
-
I m eager to see him visit againL
I will go to the mosque or church to pray for a chance to see him and cost out his visits to the countries in West AfricaM
