Faint Yet Pursuing Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AABBCCDDBEBFEFGGHIHI BIJJKKBILIBLGGMNNOPB

Heroic Good target for which the youngA
Dream in their dreams that every bow is strungA
And missing sighB
Unfruitful or as disbelievers dieB
Thee having miss'd I will not so revoltC
But lowlier shoot my boltC
And lowlier still if still I may not reachD
And my proud stomach teachD
That less than highest is good and may be highB
And even walk in life's uneven wayE
Though to have dreamt of flight and not to flyB
Be strange and sadF
Is not a boon that's given to all who prayE
If this I hadF
I'd envy noneG
Nay trod I straight for oneG
Year month or weekH
Should Heaven withdraw and Satan me amerceI
Of power and joy still would I seekH
Another victory with a like reverseI
Because the good of victory does not dieB
As dies the failure's curseI
And what we have to gainJ
Is not one battle but a weary life's campaignJ
Yet meaner lot being sentK
Should more than me contentK
Yea if I lieB
Among vile shards though born for silver wingsI
In the strong flight and feathers goldL
Of whatsoever heavenward mounts and singsI
I must by admiration so complyB
That there I should my own delight beholdL
Yea though I sin each day times sevenG
And dare not lift the fearfullest eyes to HeavenG
Thanks must I giveM
Because that seven times are not eight or nineN
And that my darkness is all mineN
And that I liveO
Within this oak shade one more minute evenP
Hearing the winds their Maker magnifyB
