Eros Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AABACCBCDADADBAB

Bright thro' the valley gallops the brookletA
Over the welkin travels the cloudA
Touch'd by the zephyr dances the harebellB
Cuckoo sits somewhere singing so loudA
Two little children seeing and hearingC
Hand in hand wander shout laugh and singC
Lo in their bosoms wild with the marvelB
Love like the crocus is come ere the SpringC
Young men and women noble and tenderD
Yearn for each other faith truly plightA
Promise to cherish comfort and honourD
Vow that makes duty one with delightA
Oh but the glory found in no storyD
Radiance of Eden unquench'd by the FallB
Few may remember none may reveal itA
This the first first love the first love of allB
