Alexander And Lycon Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABBA ACC ABDEDAA AAFFFFFF

What no crown wonA
These two whole yearsB
By man of fortitude beyond his peersB
In Thrace or MacedonA
-
No noneA
But what deep trouble does my Lycon feelC
And hide 'neath chat about the commonwealC
-
Glauc but now the third time did againA
The thing which I forbade I had to box her earsB
'Twas ill to see her both blue eyesD
Settled in tearsE
Despairing on the skiesD
And the poor lip all pucker'd into painA
Yet for her sake from kisses to refrainA
-
Ho Timocles take downA
That crownA
No not that common one for blood with extreme valour spiltF
But yonder with the berries giltF
'Tis Lycon thy just meedF
To inflict unmovedF
And firm to bear the woes of the BelovedF
Is fortitude indeedF
