Fragment I Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABC DEF GHI JKL MKN

I round the threshold wandering hereA
Vainly the tempest and the rain invokeB
That they may keep my lady prisonerC
-
And yet the wind was howling in the woodsD
The roving thunder bellowing in the cloudsE
Before the dawn had risen in the skyF
-
O ye dear clouds O heaven O earth O treesG
My lady goes Have mercy if on earthH
Unhappy lovers ever mercy findI
-
Awake ye whirlwinds storm charged clouds awakeJ
O'erwhelm me with your floods until the sunK
To other lands brings back the light of dayL
-
Heaven opens the wind falls the grass the leavesM
Are motionless around the dazzling sunK
In my tear laden eyes remorseless shinesN
