To Winter Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABBAABBACDCDCD

Stay season of calm love and soulful snowsA
There is a subtle sweetness in the sunB
The ripples on the stream's breast gaily runB
The wind more boisterously by me blowsA
And each succeeding day now longer growsA
The birds a gladder music have begunB
The squirrel full of mischief and of funB
From maples' topmost branch the brown twig throwsA
I read these pregnant signs know what they meanC
I know that thou art making ready to goD
Oh stay I fled a land where fields are greenC
Always and palms wave gently to and froD
And winds are balmy blue brooks ever sheenC
To ease my heart of its impassioned woeD
