To A Poet Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABAB CDCD EFEF

There is a lovely noise about your nameA
Above the shoutings of the city clearB
More than a moment's merriment whose claimA
Will greater grow with every mellowed yearB
-
The people will not bear you down the streetC
Dancing to the strong rhythm of your wordsD
The modern kings will throttle you to greetC
The piping voice of artificial birdsD
-
But the rare lonely spirits even mineE
Who love the immortal music of all daysF
Will see the glory of your trailing lineE
The bedded beauty of your haunting laysF
