Heritage Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCBDEFE GHIJ KILI

Now the dead past seems vividly aliveA
And in this shining moment I can traceB
Down through the vista of the vanished yearsC
Your faun like form your fond elusive faceB
And suddenly some secret spring's releasedD
And unawares a riddle is revealedE
And I can read like large black lettered printF
What seemed before a thing forever sealedE
-
I know the magic word the graceful thoughtG
The song that fills me in my lucid hoursH
The spirit's wine that thrills my body throughI
And makes me music drunk are yours all yoursJ
-
I cannot praise for you have passed from praiseK
I have no tinted thoughts to paint you trueI
But I can feel and I can write the wordL
The best of me is but the least of youI
