Mirage Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABC DEFGHIJKLH MNOP

Deem ye the veiling vision will abideA
The marvel and the glamor and the dreamB
Which lies in light upon the barren worldC
-
The wings of Phoenix towering to the sunD
Nor opals nor the morning foam may holdE
The hueful light that as from faery moonsF
Is mirrored on the sand where many a timeG
From fields that hem with golden asphodelH
A river like a dragon coiled in lightI
Rise to the noon the hovering minaretsJ
And soaring walls of cities Ilion likeK
Till the dim winds are hung with palacesL
Of orient madreperlH
-
For ever lostM
Like sunset on a land of old romanceN
The splendor fails and leaves the travellerO
In bournless deserts flaunting to the dayP
