| But the hours pass by relentless and cold | D |
| Leaving me stranded broken and old | D |

| Each moment stretches into eternity | E |
| As I drown in the depths of my own uncertainty | E |
| No savior appears no angel in flight | B |
| Just the haunting whispers of the night | B |

| Alone with my thoughts I wrestle and fight | B |
| Searching for meaning in the depths of night | B |
| But the darkness prevails a relentless foe | F |
| Leaving me stranded with nowhere to go | F |

| Yet amidst the despair a flicker of light | B |
| A glimmer of hope in the midst of the night | B |
| For in the depths of solitude I find my own voice | G |
| And realize that I am my own choice | G |
