Out of the burning rage of redA
The ocean of blue drifted inB
And the shouting of hateC
It went along with the windD
-
I used to hide in my shellE
But calmness subsided my fearsF
I used to hold on to hurt and lonelinessG
But love told me to rest my headA
-
A haunted girl bonding with griefH
My bitterness was overcame with peaceI
And ease resides with meJ
The blue in music mixedK
-
Purple he called me to royaltyJ
I thought nothing would become of meJ
But here I stand in aweL
In the brightness of being lovedM
-
Stairwells ballrooms all the resplendenceI
I stand regal and uprightN
I am no longer ashamedO
Because I have become lightN
-
Out of chars he made beautyJ
In a dancing hazeI
I was drawn to a realityJ
That is dependable and faithfulP
-
He has become my everythingQ
My peace grandeur and dignityJ
He made my color newR
Illuminating I am purpleP

Poet's note: This story is about being saved from a life of mess. How Jesus and his love changes what a hurt person used to be to a light, to royal, that is no longer ashamed, fearful or timid. How the love of God causes freedom.
