Value Misplacement Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AABB CCDE FGFG HHHH GGGG I

Do you want to be successful or you just want to be richA
Sometimes it feels like we've forgotten which is whichA
We've misplaced our values to what we've seen around usB
That we think being successful is the same as famousB
-
What we grew up learning has suddenly become oddC
The society has brought to us a new godC
And this one wasn't the creator of the whole worldD
But a twister of truth who will push us to mudE
-
What we hold dear is the followers we keepF
The types of phones we've used and the times it beepedG
The cooler you are then the later you sleepF
Because most trending things came at night and creepedG
-
Girls bend their necks just to be popularH
Boys go to gym to make themselves muscularH
Anyone withiout these qualities is considered regularH
So people give up their values just to be secularH
-
We've dammed our hearts to what isn't rightG
We got our values snatched we didn't put up a fightG
What we now cherish most would cause our eventual plightG
It's almost too late for a change we've lost our sightG
