Ah! living rats and dogs marching
A sleep! Trance! No, a dream!
Days wakes new road to thread
Muddy paths we walk to talk.
Pray God daily bread
Providence break sky bound
Ants' food share too little to spare
Brave hunts good meat lasts.
Strive, wild deserts hot too hard
Supreme hand of light no fathom
In goodness, in goodwill we stand
To sail the seas, new lands to find.
