Sonnet Xxxiii. To The Naiad Of The Arun Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis
Rhyme Scheme: ABCBDEDEFGFGHH| GO rural Naiad wind thy stream along | A |
| Through woods and wilds then seek the ocean caves | B |
| Where sea nymphs meet their coral rocks among | C |
| To boast the various honours of their waves | B |
| 'Tis but a little o'er thy shallow tide | D |
| That toiling trade her burden'd vessel leads | E |
| But laurels grow luxuriant on thy side | D |
| And letters live along thy classic meads | E |
| Lo where 'mid British bards thy natives shine | F |
| And now another poet helps to raise | G |
| Thy glory high the poet of the MINE | F |
| Whose brilliant talents are his smallest praise | G |
| And who to all that genius can impart | H |
| Adds the cool head and the unblemish'd heart | H |
