Sonnet Xxv. By The Same. Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: A BCDEFGFGHIHIJJ

Just before his DeathA
-
WHY should I wish to hold in this low sphereB
'A frail and feverish being ' wherefore tryC
Poorly from day to day to linger hereD
Against the powerful hand of DestinyE
By those who know the force of hopeless careF
On the worn heart I sure shall be forgivenG
If to elude dark guilt and dire despairF
I go uncall'd to mercy and to heavenG
O thou to save whose peace I now departH
Will thy soft mind thy poor lost friend deploreI
When worms shall feed on this devoted heartH
Where even thy image shall be found no moreI
Yet may thy pity mingle not with painJ
For then thy hapless lover dies in vainJ
