Sonnet Lxii Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis
Rhyme Scheme: ABCDCDEBEBCFCFGG| Written on passing by Moon light through a Village | A |
| while the ground was covered with Snow | B |
| WHILE thus I wander cheerless and unblest | C |
| And find in change of place but change of pain | D |
| In tranquil sleep the village labourers rest | C |
| And taste that quiet I pursue in vain | D |
| Hush'd is the hamlet now and faintly gleam | E |
| The dying embers from the casement low | B |
| Of the thatch'd cottage while the Moon's wan beam | E |
| Lends a new lustre to the dazzling snow | B |
| O'er the cold waste amid the freezing night | C |
| Scarce heeding whither desolate I stray | F |
| For me pale Eye of Evening thy soft light | C |
| Leads to no happy home my weary way | F |
| Ends but in sad vicissitudes of care | G |
| I only fly from doubt to meet despair | G |
