Sonnet Lx. To An Amiable Girl Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABCDCDEEEEEE

MIRANDA mark where shrinking from the galeA
Its silken leaves yet moist with early dewB
That fair faint flower the Lily of the valeA
Droops its meek head and looks methinks like youB
Wrapp'd in a shadowy veil of tender greenC
Its snowy bells a soft perfume dispenseD
And bending as reluctant to be seenC
In simple loveliness it sooths the senseD
With bosom bared to meet the garish dayE
The glaring Tulip gaudy undismay'dE
Offends the eye of taste that turns awayE
To seek the Lily in her fragrant shadeE
With such unconscious beauty pensive mildE
Miranda charms Nature's soft modest childE
