Sonnet L. Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCBCCDCDCECFGG

FROM THE NOVEL OF CELESTINAA
FAREWELL ye lawns by fond remembrance blestB
As witnesses of gay unclouded hoursC
Where to maternal friendships' bosom prestB
My happy childhood past among your bowersC
Ye wood walks wild where leaves and fairy flowersC
By Spring's luxuriant hand are strewn anewD
Rocks whence with shadowy grace rude nature low'rsC
O'er glens and haunted streams a long adieuD
And you O promised Happiness whose voiceC
Deluded Fancy heard in every groveE
Bidding this tender trusting heart rejoiceC
In the bright prospect of unfailing loveF
Though lost to me still may thy smile sereneG
Bless the dear lord of this regretted sceneG
