Song Iii Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: A B BCDEDE FGFGHIHI JKJKLDLD

FROM THE FRENCHA
-
I-
'AH say ' the fair Louisa criedB
'Say where the abode of Love is found '-
Pervading nature I repliedB
His influence spreads the world aroundC
When Morning's arrowy beams ariseD
He sparkles in the enlivening rayE
And blushes in the glowing skiesD
When rosy evening fades awayE
-
II-
The summer winds that gently blowF
The flocks that bleat along the gladesG
The nightingale that soft and lowF
With music fills the listening shadesG
The murmurs of the silver surfH
All echo Love's enchanting notesI
From violets lurking in the turfH
His balmy breath through ether floatsI
-
III-
From perfumed flowers and dewy leavesJ
Delicious scents he bids exhaleK
He smiles amid autumnal sheavesJ
And clothes with green the grassy valeK
But when that throne the god assumesL
Where his most powerful influence liesD
'Tis on Louisa's cheek he bloomsL
And lightens from her radiant eyesD
