Song Ii Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABCDCD EFEG

DOES Pity give though Fate deniesA
And to my wounds her balm impartB
O speak with those expressive eyesA
Let one low sigh escape thine heartB
The gazing crowd shall never guessC
What anxious watchful Love can seeD
Nor know what those soft looks expressC
Nor dream that sign is meant for meD
-
Ah words are useless words are vainE
Thy generous sympathy to proveF
And well that sign those looks explainE
That Clara mourns my hapless loveG
