Hope Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCDCEDDDDE FFFE

Parody on Lord Strangford's 'Just like Love 'A
JUST like Hope is yonder bowB
That from the center bends so lowC
Where bright prismatic colours shewD
How gems of heavenly radiance glowC
Just like HopeE
Yet if to the illusion newD
The pilgrim should the arch pursueD
Farther and farther from his viewD
It flies then melts in chilling dewD
Just like HopeE
-
Ye fade ethereal hues for everF
While cold Reason thy endeavourF
Sooths not that sad heart which neverF
Glows with HopeE
