Parting Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABAB ACAC DEDF GHGH DIDJ AKAK DLDL AMAM

THERE'S no use in weepingA
Though we are condemned to partB
There's such a thing as keepingA
A remembrance in one's heartB
-
There's such a thing as dwellingA
On the thought ourselves have nurs'dC
And with scorn and courage tellingA
The world to do its worstC
-
We'll not let its follies grieve usD
We'll just take them as they comeE
And then every day will leave usD
A merry laugh for homeF
-
When we've left each friend and brotherG
When we're parted wide and farH
We will think of one anotherG
As even better than we areH
-
Every glorious sight above usD
Every pleasant sight beneathI
We'll connect with those that love usD
Whom we truly love till deathJ
-
In the evening when we're sittingA
By the fire perchance aloneK
Then shall heart with warm heart meetingA
Give responsive tone for toneK
-
We can burst the bonds which chain usD
Which cold human hands have wroughtL
And where none shall dare restrain usD
We can meet again in thoughtL
-
So there's no use in weepingA
Bear a cheerful spirit stillM
Never doubt that Fate is keepingA
Future good for present illM
