Life Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCBDEDE FGFF HBHBIFIFFJFJ

LIFE believe is not a dreamA
So dark as sages sayB
Oft a little morning rainC
Foretells a pleasant dayB
Sometimes there are clouds of gloomD
But these are transient allE
If the shower will make the roses bloomD
O why lament its fallE
-
Rapidly merrilyF
Life's sunny hours flit byG
Gratefully cheerilyF
Enjoy them as they flyF
-
What though Death at times steps inH
And calls our Best awayB
What though sorrow seems to winH
O'er hope a heavy swayB
Yet hope again elastic springsI
Unconquered though she fellF
Still buoyant are her golden wingsI
Still strong to bear us wellF
Manfully fearlesslyF
The day of trial bearJ
For gloriously victoriouslyF
Can courage quell despairJ
