Morning Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AAAABBBA AAAACDDA EEEFAAAF GGGAHHHA

'Tis the hour when white horsed DayA
Chases Night her mares awayA
When the Gates of Dawn they sayA
Phobus opesA
And I gather that the QueenB
May be uniformly seenB
Should the weather be sereneB
On the slopesA
-
When the ploughman as he goesA
Leathern gaitered o'er the snowsA
From his hat and from his noseA
Knocks the iceA
And the panes are frosted o'erC
And the lawn is crisp and hoarD
As has been observed beforeD
Once or twiceA
-
When arrayed in breastplate redE
Sings the robin for his breadE
On the elmtree that hath shedE
Every leafF
While within the frost benumbsA
The still sleepy schoolboy's thumbsA
And in consequence his sumsA
Come to griefF
-
But when breakfast time hath comeG
And he's crunching crust and crumbG
He'll no longer look a glumG
Little dunceA
But be brisk as bees that settleH
On a summer rose's petalH
Wherefore Polly put the kettleH
On at onceA
