The Wine Of Song Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCCBDB EFGGHIF EJKKJLJ AMNNMIM OPQQPRP SBTTBFB

Within Fancy's Halls I sit and quaffA
Rich draughts of the Wine of SongB
And I drink and drinkC
To the very brinkC
Of delirium wild and strongB
Till I lose all sense of the outer worldD
And see not the human throngB
-
The lyral chords of each rising thoughtE
Are swept by a hand unseenF
And I glide and glideG
With my music brideG
Where few spiritless souls have beenH
And I soar afar on wings of soundI
With my fair AEolian QueenF
-
Deep deeper still from the springs of ThoughtE
I quaff till the fount is dryJ
And I climb and climbK
To a height sublimeK
Up the stars of some lyric skyJ
Where I seem to rise upon airs that meltL
Into song as they pass byJ
-
Millennial rounds of bliss I liveA
Withdrawn from my cumbrous clayM
As I sweep and sweepN
Through infinite deepN
On deep of that starry sprayM
Myself a sound on its world wide roundI
A tone on its spheral wayM
-
And wheresoe'er through the wondrous spaceO
My soul wings its noiseless flightP
On their astral roundsQ
Float divinest soundsQ
Unseen save by spirit sightP
Obeying some wise eternal lawR
As fixed as the law of lightP
-
But oh when my cup of dainty blissS
Is drained of the Wine of SongB
How I fall and fallT
At the sober callT
Of the body that waiteth longB
To hurry me back to its cares terreneF
And earth's spiritless human throngB
