Sonnet: - Xiii Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis
Rhyme Scheme: ABCBABBDDDEEFF| I've almost grown a portion of this place | A |
| I seem familiar with each mossy stone | B |
| Even the nimble chipmunk passes on | C |
| And looks but never scolds me Birds have flown | B |
| And almost touched my hand and I can trace | A |
| The wild bees to their hives I've never known | B |
| So sweet a pause from labour But the tone | B |
| Of a past sorrow like a mournful rill | D |
| Threading the heart of some melodious hill | D |
| Or the complainings of the whippoorwill | D |
| Passes through every thought and hope and aim | E |
| It has its uses for it cools the flame | E |
| Of ardent love that burns my being up | F |
| Love life's celestial pearl diffused through all its cup | F |
