Sonnet: - Iv. Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis
Rhyme Scheme: ABCDACDBBBEBBEThe birds are singing merrily and here | A |
A squirrel claims the lordship of the woods | B |
And scolds me for intruding At my feet | C |
The tireless ants all silently proclaim | D |
The dignity of labour In my ear | A |
The bee hums drowsily from sweet to sweet | C |
Careering like a lover weak in aim | D |
I hear faint music in the solitudes | B |
A dreamlike melody that whispers peace | B |
Imbues the calmy forest and sweet rills | B |
Of pensive feeling murmur through my brain | E |
Like ripplings of pure water down the hills | B |
That slumber in the moonlight Cease oh cease | B |
Some day my weary heart will coin these into pain | E |
