Flowers Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABCDCD EFEFEGHG IJIKLALA

Thank God I love the FlowersA
Mute voices of the SpringB
That gladden all her bowersA
With their varied blossomingB
They weave a charm around themC
On each summer dale and boughD
For a Fairy train has bound themC
In wreaths upon her browD
-
Far up along the mountainE
And in the valleys greenF
In the field and by the fountainE
The smiling ones are seenF
Some looking up to heavenE
With eyes of deepest blueG
Some stooping down at evenH
To quaff the sparkling dewG
-
And from them all there speakethI
A language sweet and pureJ
Fitted for him who seekethI
A God's nomenclatureK
As tidal pulses thrill the seasL
And moments build the hoursA
Heaven breathes her unvoiced mysteriesL
In sermons from the FlowersA
