Death Of Wolfe Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCDAABD EFGHEEGH IJJKIILK

They run they run Who run Not theyA
Who faced that decimating fireB
As coolly as if human ireC
Were rooted from their heartsD
They run while he who led the wayA
So bravely on that glorious dayA
Burns for one word with keen desireB
Ere waning life departsD
-
They run they run Who run he criedE
As swiftly to his pallid browF
Like crimson sunlight upon snowG
The anxious blood returnedH
The French the French a voice repliedE
When quickly paled life's ebbing tideE
And though his words were weak and lowG
His eye with valour burnedH
-
Thank God I die in peace he saidI
And calmly yielding up his breathJ
There trod the shadowy realms of deathJ
A good man and a braveK
Through all the regions of the deadI
Behold his spirit spectre ledI
Crowned with the amaranthine wreathL
That blooms not for the slaveK
