I am to write three lines and youB
Three others that will rhymeC
There now I've done my taskD

Three stupid lines as e'er I knewB
When you've the pen next timeC
Some question of me askD

Then tell me brother and pray mindE
Brother you tell me trueB
What sort of thing is fancyF

By all that I can ever findE
'Tis something that is very newB
And what no dunces can seeF

SISTERA
That is not half the way to tellG
What fancy is aboutH
So pray now tell me moreI

BROTHERA
Sister I think 'twere quite as wellG
That you should find it outH
So think the matter o'erA

SISTERA
It's what comes in our heads when weF
Play at 'Let's make believe '-
And when we play at 'Guessing '-

BROTHERA
And I have heard it said to beF
A talent often makes us grieveJ
And sometimes proves a blessingK
