Felt something like desertion when I look'd | C |
Around me and the well known voice of friend | D |
Was absent and the cordial look was there | E |
No more to smile on me I thought on Lloyd | F |
All he had been to me And now I go | G |
Again to mingle with a world impure | H |
With men who make a mock of holy things | I |
Mistaken and of man's best hope think scorn | J |
The world does much to warp the heart of man | K |
And I may sometimes join its ideot laugh | L |
Of this I now complain not Deal with me | M |
Omniscient Father as thou judgest best | N |
And in thy season tender thou my heart | B |
I pray not for myself I pray for him | O |
Whose soul is sore perplex'd shine thou on him | O |
Father of Lights and in the difficult paths | P |
Make plain his way before him His own thoughts | Q |
May he not think his own ends not pursue | R |
So shall he best perform thy will on earth | S |
Greatest and Best thy will be ever ours | T |
