Some braver spirits of the modern stamp | U |
Affect a Godhead nearer these talk loud | V |
Of mind independent intellect | R |
Of energies omnipotent in man | G |
And man of his own fate artificer | W |
Yea of his own life lord of the days | X |
Of his abode on earth when time shall be | T |

Or Death by chemic practices deceived | Z |
Forego the scent which for six thousand years | N |
Like a good hound he has followed or at length | L |
