Eyes Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCCDEFFGGHH IIJJ KKJJLLMMAAMM

Lucy what do you espyA
In the cast in Jenny's eyeB
That should you to laughter moveC
I far other feelings proveC
When on me she does advanceD
Her good natured countenanceE
And those eyes which in their wayF
Saying much so much would sayF
They to me no blemish seemG
Or as none I them esteemG
I their imperfection prizeH
Above other clearer eyesH
-
-
Eyes do not as jewels goI
By the brightness and the showI
But the meanings which surround themJ
And the sweetness shines around themJ
-
-
Isabel's are black as jetK
But she cannot that forgetK
And the pains she takes to show themJ
Robs them of the praise we owe themJ
Ann's though blue affected fallL
Kate's are bright and fierce withalL
And the sparklers of her sisterM
From ill humour lose their lustreM
Only Jenny's eyes we seeA
By their very plainness freeA
From the vices which do smotherM
All the beauties of the otherM
