The Dead Church Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABAB ACAD

Wild wild wind wilt thou never cease thy sighingA
Dark dark night wilt thou never wear awayB
Cold cold church in thy death sleep lyingA
The Lent is past thy Passion here but not thine Easter dayB
-
Peace faint heart though the night be dark and sighingA
Rest fair corpse where thy Lord himself hath lainC
Weep dear Lord above thy bride low lyingA
Thy tears shall wake her frozen limbs to life and health againD
