On The Death Of A Certain Journal Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABBA CDDC EFFG HIIH JKLJ MNOM

So die thou child of stormy dawnA
Thou winter flower forlorn of nurseB
Chilled early by the bigot's curseB
The pedant's frown the worldling's yawnA
-
Fair death to fall in teeming JuneC
When every seed which drops to earthD
Takes root and wins a second birthD
From steaming shower and gleaming moonC
-
Fall warm fall fast thou mellow rainE
Thou rain of God make fat the landF
That roots which parch in burning sandF
May bud to flower and fruit againG
-
To grace perchance a fairer mornH
In mightier lands beyond the seaI
While honour falls to such as weI
From hearts of heroes yet unbornH
-
Who in the light of fuller dayJ
Of purer science holier lawsK
Bless us faint heralds of their causeL
Dim beacons of their glorious wayJ
-
Failure While tide floods rise and boilM
Round cape and isle in port and coveN
Resistless star led from aboveO
What though our tiny wave recoilM
