Hymn Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCB DEFE GHIH JKBK LMNM OPQP J

Accept this building gracious LordA
No temple though it beB
We raised it for our suffering kinC
And so Good Lord for TheeB
-
Accept our little gift and giveD
To all who here may dwellE
The will and power to do their workF
Or bear their sorrows wellE
-
From Thee all skill and science flowG
All pity care and loveH
All calm and courage faith and hopeI
Oh pour them from aboveH
-
And part them Lord to each and allJ
As each and all shall needK
To rise like incense each to TheeB
In noble thought and deedK
-
And hasten Lord that perfect dayL
When pain and death shall ceaseM
And Thy just rule shall fill the earthN
With health and light and peaceM
-
When ever blue the sky shall gleamO
And ever green the sodP
And man's rude work deface no moreQ
The Paradise of GodP
-
