Such, Such Is Death Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABC ABD EFEFAGAG

Such such is Death no triumph no defeatA
Only an empty pail a slate rubbed cleanB
A merciful putting away of what has beenC
-
And this we know Death is not Life effeteA
Life crushed the broken pail We who have seenB
So marvellous things know well the end not yetD
-
Victor and vanquished are a one in deathE
Coward and brave friend foe Ghosts do not sayF
Come what was your record when you drew breathE
But a big blot has hid each yesterdayF
So poor so manifestly incompleteA
And your bright Promise withered long and spedG
Is touched stirs rises opens and grows sweetA
And blossoms and is you when you are deadG
