German Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCDEFGHIJKLGMN OPGGQRSTGUVVWXYVZSWS A2B2UC2S

being the German kid in the 's in Los AngelesA
was difficultB
there was much anti German feeling thenC
a carry over from World WarD
gangs of kids chased me through the neighborhoodE
yelling 'Hieneie Hieneie Hienie 'F
they never caught meG
I was like a catH
I knew all the paths through brush and alleysI
I scaled foot back fences in a flash and was off throughJ
backyards and around blocksK
and onto garage roofs and other hiding placesL
then too they didn't really want to catch meG
they were afraid I might bayonet themM
or gouge out their eyesN
-
this went on for about monthsO
then all of a sudden it seemed to stopP
I was more or less accepted but never reallyG
which was all right with meG
those sons of bitches were AmericansQ
they and their parents had been born hereR
they had names like Jones and Sullivan andS
BakerT
they were pale and often fat with runnyG
noses and big belt bucklesU
I decided never to become an AmericanV
my hero was Baron Manfred von RichthofenV
the German air aceW
he'd shot down of their bestX
and there was nothing they could do aboutY
that nowV
their parents didn't like my parentsZ
I didn't either andS
I decided when I got big I'd go live in some placeW
like IcelandS
never open my door to anybody and live on myA2
luck live with a beautiful wife and a bunch of wildB2
animalsU
which is more or less whatC2
happenedS
