The Sunset Of Romanticism Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABBCBDBEFGHIIJ

How beautiful a new sun is when it risesA
flashing out its greeting like an explosionB
Happy whoever hails with sweet emotionB
its descent nobler than a dream to our eyesC
I remember I ve seen all flower furrow fountainB
swoon beneath its look like a throbbing heartD
Let s run quickly it s late towards the horizonB
to catch at least one slanting ray as it departsE
But I pursue the vanishing God in vainF
irresistible Night establishes its swayG
full of shudders black dismal coldH
an odour of the tomb floats in the shadowI
at the swamp s edge feet faltering I goI
bruising damp slugs and unexpected toadsJ
