The Giantess Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCD EFGC CCC HIJ

In times when madcap Nature in her verveA
Conceived each day a hatch of monstrous spawnB
I might have lived near some young giantessC
Like a voluptuous cat before a queenD
-
To watch her body tlower with her soulE
And grow up freely in her dreadful playF
To guess about a passion's sombre tlameG
Bom in the mists that swim within her eyesC
-
At leisure to explore her mighty formsC
To climb the slopes of her enormous kneesC
And sometimes when the summer's tainted sunsC
-
Had lain her out across the countrysideH
To drowse in nonchalance below her breastI
Like a calm village in the mountain's shadeJ
