Beatrice Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AABCADEFGGHI AAAAJJKLM NNOOPQRR

Through fields of ash burnt without verdureA
where I was complaining one day to NatureA
and slowly sharpened the knife of my thoughtB
as I wandered aimlessly against my heartC
I saw descend at noon on my browA
a storm filled and a sinister cloudD
holding a vicious demonic hordeE
resembling cruel and curious dwarfsF
They gazing at me considering me as coolG
as passers by admiring a foolG
I heard them laughing and whispering in synchH
exchanging many a nudge and a winkI
-
' Let's contemplate this caricatureA
this Hamlet's shadow echoing his postureA
his indecisive looks and wild hairA
It's a shame to see that epicure thereA
that pauper that actor on holiday that drollJ
fellow because he can play a fine roleJ
trying to interest with his tearsK
the eagles the grasshoppers streams and flowersL
and even proclaiming his public tiradesM
to us who invented those ancient parades '-
-
I might since my pride high as the mountainsN
overtops clouds and the cries of demonsN
simply have turned my regal headO
if I'd not seen to that obscene crowd wedO
a crime that failed to make the sun rockP
the queen of my heart with her matchless lookQ
laughing with them at my dark distressR
and now and then yielding a filthy caressR
