Allegory Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AABBCDEEFFGGHIJJFKLM

Picture a beauty shoulders rich and fineA
Letting her long hair trail into her wineA
Talons of love the poison tooth of sinB
Slip and are dulled against her granite skinB
She laughs at Death and flouts DebaucheryC
Those fiends who in their heavy pleasantriesD
Gouge and destroy still keep a strange regardE
For majesty her body strong and hardE
A goddess or a sultan's regal wifeF
A faithful Paynim of voluptuous lifeF
Her eyes call mortal beings to the charmsG
Of ready breasts between her open armsG
She feels she knows this maid this barren girlH
By our desire fit to move the worldI
The gift of body's beauty is sublimeJ
And draws forgiveness out of every crimeJ
She knows no Hell or any afterlifeF
And when her time shall come to face the NightK
She'll meet Death like a newborn face to faceL
In innocence with neither guilt nor hateM
