Sonnet Xvii Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABCDCDEFEFGG

Nor wert thou only by thy kindred weptA
Young mother gentle daughter cherish'd wifeB
Deep in her memory France hath fondly keptA
The records of thy unassuming lifeB
Oft shall the statue heroine bring to mindC
As pale it gleams beneath the light of dayD
In all the thoughtful grace by thee design'dC
The worth and talent which have pass'd awayD
Oft shall the old who see thy child pass byE
Smiling and glad despite his orphan'd lotF
Look on him with a blessing and a sighE
As one who suffers loss yet feels it notF
But lifting up his innocent eyes in prayerG
Vaguely imagines Heaven foretaught that thou art THEREG
