Sonnet Xix Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis
Rhyme Scheme: ABCBDEDEFGFGHHBut since in all that brief Life's narrow scope | A |
No day pass'd by without some gentle deed | B |
Let us not 'mourn like them that have no hope ' | C |
Though sharp the stroke and suddenly decreed | B |
For still when Spring puts out her tender leaves | D |
And Nature's beauty seems to bud in vain | E |
Since then the yearning spirit doubly grieves | D |
With fresh remembrance of unconquer'd pain | E |
Returns the precious memory of all | F |
The grace and goodness of that creature fair | G |
Whom it pleased God in early days to call | F |
From this dim world of trouble toil and care | G |
And seldom is such bless'd conviction given | H |
That She we mourn on Earth is now a Saint in Heaven | H |
